EQUIPMENT

Air fryer

Glass

INGREDIENTS         1x

Bread: I typically use slices of whole wheat or multigrain bread. You can make this recipe with

any type of bread you have on hand.

Eggs: Use whole, ideally room-temperature eggs. Your air-frying time might go up a little if

you're using eggs straight out of the fridge.

Butter: You can spread butter on your slices of bread if you like. I chose not to.

Salt and pepper: This is the seasoning you need. These complement your eggs in a basket perfectly.

Optional seasonings include cheese, chili flakes, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, and chives,

all of which make delicious garnishes.

INSTRUCTIONS

I'll demonstrate two methods for preparing this dish:

Making a cavity in the bread slice

> Grab a piece of bread. Butter may be applied to it (optional). Grab a glass. Turn it

over and carve a hole in the bread with its mouth.

> Save the cutout bread and air fry it to go with the meal.

> Cut it into a square using a parchment paper sheet. Put this parchment paper on top of the

bread slice in the air fryer basket after removing the cavity from the bread slice.

> Now gently crack an egg into the opening. Put salt and pepper on top.

> Put the air fryer basket inside the air fryer without preheating it.

> When the bread is toasty and the egg is cooked, air fry at 360°F or 180°C for about 7 to 9

minutes.

> The yolk was extremely runny at 7 minutes and cooked at 9 minutes. Depending on the

air fryer you use, this period might change.

> Therefore, after the first five minutes of air-frying the egg, be sure to check on it.

> Get rid of it. The egg in the hole should be removed with a spatula and placed on a plate.

> Your preferred ingredients can be used as a garnish. Enjoy.

> Please be aware that since the air fryer is already hot, you will only need to cook the next slice

of bread for a minute or two.

Without making a hole in the bread

Press a glass's bottom gently against the center of a slice of bread to create a small depression

or cavity.

> For four minutes, preheat the air fryer at 360 F or 180 C.

> Put the bread slice with the depression in the air fryer basket. Carefully crack the egg into the

hole in the bread.

> Add salt and pepper to taste. Now, air fry the bread for 6 to 8 minutes to toast it and cook

the egg.

> For this recipe, parchment paper is not necessary because the bread won't stick to the

air fryer basket. On the air fryer basket, you can spray or brush some oil.

> Again, a cooked yolk will be attained after 8 minutes and a soft yolk after 6 minutes.

Take it outside and eat your preferred breakfast there.

NOTES

1. If you use parchment paper, be sure to cut it so that it doesn't completely enclose the air fryer

basket. Allow some room for circulation.

2. If you are creating a cavity in the bread slice, use parchment paper or aluminum foil.

3. The choice to butter the slice is available. Use butter on your toast to make it browner.

4. I have used eggs at room temperature. If you are using yours straight from the fridge,

your air-frying time may be slightly higher.

5. Keep in mind that the air fryer may finish subsequent toasts a little quicker because it is

now hot.

6. You can add toppings of your choice, such as parsley, bacon bits, chopped chives, or

chili flakes.

7. You can serve these air-fried egg toasts with mashed, baby, or even breakfast potatoes.

8. These roasted vegetables also make for a great side dish.

FAQS:

Ques: Can eggs be fried in an air fryer?

Ans: Yes, eggs can be fried in an air fryer. Simply crack an egg into the air fryer basket or

use a silicone mold, season as desired, and cook at the recommended temperature and time.

The air fryer produces crispy edges and a perfectly cooked center for a delicious fried egg.

Ques: How long should eggs be cooked in an air fryer?

Ans: The cooking time for eggs in an air fryer depends on the desired level of doneness.

For a soft-boiled egg, cook for about 6-8 minutes at 250°F (120°C). For a hard-

boiled egg, increase the time to 12-15 minutes. Adjust the cooking time based on personal

preference and the specific air fryer model being used.

Ques: Can I use the air fryer basket to cook?

Ans: Yes, you can use the air fryer basket to cook various foods. The basket is designed to

hold and cook ingredients evenly with hot air circulation. It is suitable for cooking items like chicken wings, French fries, vegetables, and more.

Ensure proper preheating and follow recipe instructions for best results.

Ques: Do eggs cooked in the air float?

Ans: No, eggs cooked in the air fryer do not float. The floating of eggs usually

occurs when they are boiled in water. In an air fryer, eggs are cooked using hot

air circulation, which does not create buoyancy. The eggs will remain in place and

cook within the air fryer basket or other cooking vessel
